Adhyaya 61 — The Second Manvantara Begins: The Brahmin’s Swift Journey and Varuthini’s Temptation on Himavat
वरूथिन्युवाच किं ते नाहं प्रिया विप्र ! रमणीयो न किं गिरिः ।
गन्धर्वान् किन्नरादींश्च त्यक्त्वाभीष्टो हि कस्तव ॥
varūthinī uvāca kiṃ te nāhaṃ priyā vipra ramaṇīyo na kiṃ giriḥ | gandharvān kinnarādīṃś ca tyaktvā abhīṣṭo hi kas tava ||
ବରୂଥିନୀ କହିଲା—ହେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ, ତୁମର କ’ଣ ହେଲା? ମୁଁ କି ତୁମ ପ୍ରିୟା ନୁହେଁ? ଏହି ପର୍ବତ କି ରମଣୀୟ ନୁହେଁ? ଗନ୍ଧର୍ବ, କିନ୍ନର ଆଦିଙ୍କୁ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ତୁମେ ସତ୍ୟରେ କାହାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଛ?
