Adhyaya 50 — Mind-Born Progeny, Svayambhuva Manu’s Lineage, and Brahmā’s Ordinance to Duḥsaha (Alakṣmī’s Retinue)
The verse valorizes inner freedom: non-attachment and lack of envy are presented as marks of higher knowledge. It implies that spiritual maturity can precede and even resist social/creative duties.
Sarga: it describes the qualities of the first beings produced in creation and their refusal to participate in further worldly propagation.
The Kumāras represent the ‘upward’ current of consciousness (nivṛtti-mārga) that turns away from manifestation; their foreknowledge suggests mastery over time through contemplative insight.
