Adhyaya 10 — Svayambhuva Manvantara
ज्ञानदानफलं ह्येतद्यज्जातिस्मरणं मम ।
न ह्येतत्प्राप्यते तात त्रयीधर्माश्रितैर्नरैः ॥
jñānadānaphalaṃ hy etad yaj jātismaraṇaṃ mama | na hy etat prāpyate tāta trayīdharmāśritair naraiḥ ||
ମୋର ପୂର୍ବଜନ୍ମ ସ୍ମୃତି ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ଦାନର ଫଳ ଅଟେ। ହେ ପ୍ରିୟ ପିତା, କେବଳ ବେଦତ୍ରୟୀର କର୍ମକାଣ୍ଡ-ଧର୍ମରେ ନିଷ୍ଠ ଲୋକେ ଏହା ପାଆନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।

Purāṇic teaching often ranks inner knowledge and selfless giving above mere ritual performance; extraordinary spiritual capacities (like jātismaraṇa) are linked to refined merit and insight.
