तथा धौम्येन धर्मज्ञो वाक्यै: सम्परितोषित: । शास्त्रबुद्धया स्वबुद्धया च न चचाल युधिछिर:
tathā dhaumyena dharmajño vākyaiḥ samparitoṣitaḥ | śāstrabuddhyā svabuddhyā ca na cacāla yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
ଏହିପରି ମହର୍ଷି ଧୌମ୍ୟ ଯୁକ୍ତିଯୁକ୍ତ ବଚନରେ ଧର୍ମଜ୍ଞ ଯୁଧିଷ୍ଠିରଙ୍କୁ ସନ୍ତୋଷ ଦେଲେ; ତେବେ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରବୁଦ୍ଧି ଓ ନିଜ ସ୍ଥିର ବୁଦ୍ଧିବଳରେ ଯୁଧିଷ୍ଠିର ଧର୍ମରୁ ବିଚଳିତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
True steadiness in dharma arises from a harmony of śāstra-guided discernment (śāstrabuddhi) and one’s own clear reasoning (svabuddhi); wise counsel can restore composure without displacing personal moral responsibility.
Vaiśampāyana reports that the sage Dhaumya speaks to Yudhiṣṭhira with sound, reasoned words, satisfying and steadying him; as a result, Yudhiṣṭhira does not deviate from dharma.
