न चाप्यधर्मे न सुहृद्विभेदने परस्वहारे परदारमर्शने । कदर्यभावे न रमेन्मन: सदा नृणां सदाख्यानमिदं विजानताम्‌

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

na cāpy adharme na suhṛd-vibhedane para-svahāre para-dāra-marśane |

kadarya-bhāve na ramen manaḥ sadā nṛṇāṃ sadākhyānam idaṃ vijānatām ||

Translation

ଯେମାନେ ଏହି ସଦା-ମଙ୍ଗଳ ଉପାଖ୍ୟାନକୁ ଯଥାର୍ଥରେ ବୁଝି ସଦା ସ୍ମରଣ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମନ କେବେ ଅଧର୍ମରେ, ସୁହୃଦମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଫୁଟ ପକାଇବାରେ, ପରଧନ ହରଣରେ, ପରସ୍ତ୍ରୀଗମନରେ କିମ୍ବା କୃପଣତାର ନୀଚତାରେ ରମେ ନାହିଁ। ଏହି ମନୋହର କଥାକୁ ନିତ୍ୟ ସ୍ମରଣ କଲେ ହୃଦୟ ଏମିତି ଅପକର୍ମ ପଥକୁ ଫେରେ ନାହିଁ।
