Draupadī-apaharaṇa-saṃdeśaḥ
Report of Draupadī’s Abduction and the Pāṇḍavas’ Pursuit
कुरुश्रेष्ठ) दानवोंका आवेश होनेपर भीष्म, द्रोण आदिकी अन्तरात्मापर भी उन दानवोंका ही अधिकार हो जायगा। उस दशामें युद्धमें स्नेहरहित हो प्रहार करते हुए वे लोग पुत्रों, भाइयों, पितृजनों, बान्धवों, शिष्यों, कुटुम्बीजनों, बालकों तथा बूढ़ोंको भी नहीं छोड़ेंगे ।।
prahariṣyanti vivaśāḥ sneham utsṛjya dūrataḥ | hṛṣṭāḥ puruṣaśārdūlāḥ kaluṣīkṛtamānasāḥ | avijñānavimūḍhāś ca daivāc ca vidhinirmitaḥ ||
ହେ କୁରୁଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ! ଦାନବ-ଆବେଶ ହେଲେ ଭୀଷ୍ମ, ଦ୍ରୋଣ ଆଦିଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ତରାତ୍ମା ଉପରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହି ଦାନବମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧିକାର ହୋଇଯିବ। ସେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ସ୍ନେହଶୂନ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପ୍ରହାର କରିବା ସମୟରେ ପୁତ୍ର, ଭାଇ, ପିତୃଜନ, ବାନ୍ଧବ, ଶିଷ୍ୟ, କୁଟୁମ୍ବୀ, ଶିଶୁ ଓ ବୃଦ୍ଧ—କାହାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଛାଡ଼ିବେ ନାହିଁ। ସେହି ପୁରୁଷସିଂହମାନେ ବିବଶ ହୋଇ ସ୍ନେହକୁ ଦୂରେ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି, ହର୍ଷିତ ହୋଇ ଅସ୍ତ୍ର-ଶସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ପ୍ରହାର କରିବେ। ତାଙ୍କ ମନ କଳୁଷିତ ହେବ; ଅବିଜ୍ଞାନରେ ମୋହିତ ହେବେ—ଏ ସବୁ ବିଧି-ନିର୍ମିତ ଦୈବର ଫଳ।
