यः समुत्पतितं हर्ष दैन्यं वा न नियच्छति । स नश्यति श्रियं प्राप्य पात्रमाममिवाम्भसि

Transliteration

yaḥ samutpatitaṁ harṣaṁ dainyaṁ vā na niyacchati | sa naśyati śriyaṁ prāpya pātram āmam ivāmbhasi ||

Translation

ଯେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ହଠାତ୍ ଉଦ୍ଭୂତ ହର୍ଷ କିମ୍ବା ଦୈନ୍ୟ (ଶୋକ)କୁ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରେନାହିଁ, ସେ ଶ୍ରୀ-ସମୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ନଶ୍ଟ ହୁଏ—ଯେପରି କଚ୍ଚା ମାଟିର ପାତ୍ର ଜଳରେ ପଡ଼ିଲେ ଗଳିଯାଏ।
