आरण्यकपर्वणि अध्यायः २१६ — इन्द्र-स्कन्द-संमुखता वज्रप्रहारश्च

दुर्जेय: शाश्वतो धर्म: शूद्रयोनौ हि वर्तते । नत्वां शूद्रमहं मन्‍्ये भवितव्यं हि कारणम्‌

durjeyaḥ śāśvato dharmaḥ śūdrayonau hi vartate | na tvāṃ śūdram ahaṃ manye bhavitavyaṃ hi kāraṇam ||

ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ କହିଲେ—ଏହି ଶାଶ୍ୱତ ଧର୍ମ ଦୁର୍ଜେୟ, ବୁଝିବାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ କଠିନ; ତଥାପି ଶୂଦ୍ର-ଯୋନିରେ ଜନ୍ମିତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହା ବିଦ୍ୟମାନ। କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମକୁ ଶୂଦ୍ର ମନେ କରେନି; ସେହି ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ତୁମ ଜନ୍ମ ପଛରେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ କୌଣସି ଗଭୀର କାରଣ ଅଛି।
