एषोअस्य पुत्रो5भिमत: पुष्कर: पुष्करेक्षण: । रूपवान् दर्शनीयश्व सोमपुत्रया वृत: पति:,वरुणदेवके इन प्रिय पुत्रका नाम पुष्कर है। इनके नेत्र विकसित कमलके समान सुशोभित हैं। ये रूपवान् तथा दर्शनीय हैं। इसीलिये सोमकी पुत्रीने इनका पतिरूपसे वरण किया है
eṣo ’sya putro ’bhimataḥ puṣkaraḥ puṣkarekṣaṇaḥ | rūpavān darśanīyaś ca somaputrayā vṛtaḥ patiḥ ||
ଏହିଏ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରିୟ ପୁତ୍ର ପୁଷ୍କର—ପଦ୍ମସଦୃଶ ନୟନଯୁକ୍ତ। ସେ ରୂପବାନ୍ ଓ ଦର୍ଶନୀୟ; ଏହି କାରଣରୁ ସୋମଙ୍କ କନ୍ୟା ତାଙ୍କୁ ପତିରୂପେ ବରଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି।
