Kṛṣṇa at Duryodhana’s House: Refusal of Hospitality and Departure to Vidura (कृष्णस्य धार्तराष्ट्रनिवेशनगमनम्)

विनीतक्रो धहर्षश्न ब्रह्माण्या: सत्यवादिन: । त्यक्त्वा प्रियसुखे पार्था रूवतीमपहाय माम्‌,'मेरे बेटे हर्ष और क्रोधको जीत चुके थे। वे ब्राह्मणोंका हित-साधन करनेवाले तथा सत्यवादी थे; तथापि (शत्रुओंके अन्यायसे विवश हो) प्रियजन एवं सुखभोगसे मुँह मोड़ मुझे रोती-बिलखती छोड़कर वे वनकी ओर चल दिये

Vaiśampāyana uvāca — vinīta-krodha-harṣāś ca brāhmaṇyāḥ satya-vādinaḥ | tyaktvā priya-sukhe pārthā ruvatīm apahāya mām vanaṃ prati yayuḥ ||

ବୈଶମ୍ପାୟନ କହିଲେ—ପାର୍ଥମାନେ ହର୍ଷ ଓ କ୍ରୋଧକୁ ଜୟ କରିଥିଲେ। ସେମାନେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣମାନଙ୍କ ହିତସାଧକ ଏବଂ ସତ୍ୟବାଦୀ ଥିଲେ; ତଥାପି ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ୟାୟରେ ବିବଶ ହୋଇ, ପ୍ରିୟଜନ ଓ ସୁଖଭୋଗ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି, ମୋତେ କାନ୍ଦୁଥିବା ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଛାଡ଼ି, ସେମାନେ ଅରଣ୍ୟ ପଥେ ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
