राम उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic self-discipline: undertaking vows and visiting tīrthas is presented as a means of purification and the accumulation of auspicious merit, emphasizing inner restraint and ethical steadiness rather than mere external travel.
Rāma enumerates specific hermitages and a sacred lake where the (contextually implied) daughter of the King of Kāśī bathed while observing severe vows, indicating a structured pilgrimage undertaken for auspicious spiritual purpose.
