अध्याय १२२ — कृष्णस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛṣṇa’s Ethical Counsel to Duryodhana
ययातिरुवाच भगवन् संशयो मे<स्ति कश्रित् त॑ं छेत्तुमहसि । न हान्यमहमहमि प्रष्ठं लोकपितामह
yayātir uvāca bhagavan saṁśayo me 'sti kaścit taṁ chettum arhasi | na hi anyam aham imaṁ praśnaṁ lokapitāmaha tvayi vinā prastum ucitaṁ manye ||
ଯୟାତି କହିଲେ—ଭଗବନ୍! ମୋ ମନରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ସନ୍ଦେହ ଉଦ୍ଭବିଛି; ତାହାକୁ ଛେଦ କରିବାକୁ ଆପଣ ସମର୍ଥ। ଲୋକପିତାମହ! ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଅନ୍ୟ କାହା ପାଖରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ରଖିବାକୁ ମୁଁ ଉଚିତ ଭାବେ ମନେ କରେ ନାହିଁ।
नारद उवाच
The verse models ethical inquiry: when a serious doubt arises, one should approach a trustworthy, spiritually authoritative guide with humility, rather than broadcasting the question indiscriminately.
King Yayāti addresses the revered sage Nārada, confessing a personal doubt and requesting its removal, emphasizing that he deems Nārada uniquely fit to hear and resolve the matter.
