वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores dharmic solidarity: righteous action in a just cause is supported by a broad coalition of kin and allies, and kṣatriya responsibility involves readiness, discipline, and unity when conflict becomes unavoidable.
A roster-like description is given of key warriors and allied princes—Pāṇḍavas, Drupada’s sons, Kṛṣṇa’s sons, Virāṭa’s sons, and Abhimanyu—assembled together, signaling the consolidation of forces and leadership before the great war.
