अलाभे सति वा लाभे समदर्शी महातपा: । न जिजीविषुवत् किंचिन्न मुमूर्षवदाचरन्
alābhe sati vā lābhe samadarśī mahātapāḥ | na jijīviṣuvat kiñcin na mumūrṣuvad ācaran |
ଲାଭ ହେଉ କି ଅଲାଭ—ଦୁହିଁ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ମୋର ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ସମ ରହିବ। ମହାତପ ଓ ସଂଯମରେ ନିଷ୍ଠ ହୋଇ, ଜୀବିବାକୁ ଆକାଂକ୍ଷା କରୁଥିବାମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ନୁହେଁ, ମରିବାକୁ ଆକାଂକ୍ଷା କରୁଥିବାମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ମଧ୍ୟ ମୁଁ କୌଣସି ଆଚରଣ କରିବି ନାହିଁ।
युधिछिर उवाच
To remain steady-minded in both gain and loss, and to avoid actions motivated by desperate attachment to life or by a morbid desire for death—choosing disciplined, dharmic conduct rooted in equanimity.
