Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
प्रवृद्धानां च वृक्षाणां शाखां प्रच्छेदयेत् तथा । चैत्यानां सर्वथा त्याज्यमपि पत्रस्य पातनम्
pravṛddhānāṃ ca vṛkṣāṇāṃ śākhāṃ pracchedayet tathā | caityānāṃ sarvathā tyājyam api patrasya pātanam ||
ଯେ ଗଛଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଅତ୍ୟଧିକ ବଢ଼ି ଚାରିଦିଗକୁ ପସରିଯାଇଛି, ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ହେଲେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶାଖା କାଟି ଛାଟିଦିଆଯାଇପାରେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଚୈତ୍ୟ-ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀୟ (ପବିତ୍ର ସ୍ଥଳ ସହ ଯୁକ୍ତ) ବୃକ୍ଷକୁ ସର୍ବଥା ରକ୍ଷା କରିବା ଉଚିତ—ଏକ ପତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟ ପଡ଼ିବାକୁ ଦିଅନି।
