विधिं पप्रच्छ राज्यस्य सर्वलोकहिते रत: । प्रजानां सुखमन्विच्छन्‌ धर्मशीलं बृहस्पतिम्‌

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | vidhiṁ papraccha rājyasya sarvalokahite rataḥ | prajānāṁ sukham anvicchan dharmaśīlaṁ bṛhaspatim ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ସର୍ବଲୋକହିତରେ ରତ ଥିବା ସେଇ ରାଜା ରାଜ୍ୟଶାସନର ଯଥାବିଧି ପଚାରିଲେ। ପ୍ରଜାଙ୍କ ସୁଖ ଆକାଂକ୍ଷା କରି ଧର୍ମଶୀଳ ବୃହସ୍ପତିଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ, ଧର୍ମାନୁସାରେ ଓ ସାଧାରଣ ହିତ ପାଇଁ ଶାସନ କିପରି ଚାଲିବ—ନୀତି ଓ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ବିଷୟରେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କଲେ।
