सम्भूता: सर्वसम्भारास्तस्मिन्‌ राजन्‌ महाक्रतौ । न तत्र पशुघातो5भूत्‌ स राजैवं स्थितो5भवत्‌

Transliteration

sambhūtāḥ sarva-sambhārās tasmin rājan mahā-kratau | na tatra paśu-ghāto 'bhūt sa rājā evaṃ sthito 'bhavat ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ହେ ରାଜନ, ସେଇ ମହାକ୍ରତୁରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଯଜ୍ଞସାମଗ୍ରୀ ଭଲଭାବେ ସଂଗ୍ରହ ହୋଇଥିଲା; ତଥାପି ସେଠାରେ କୌଣସି ପଶୁବଧ ହେଲା ନାହିଁ। ଅହିଂସାଧର୍ମକୁ ଧାରଣ କରିବା ଏହି ଅଭିପ୍ରାୟରେ ରାଜା ଉପରିଚର ସେଇ ଯଜ୍ଞରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ।
