क्षमस्व नचिरादिन्द्र त्वामप्युपगमिष्यति । इन्द्र! मैं सदा सावधान रहता था
kṣamasva nacirād indra tvām apy upagamiṣyati |
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ— ହେ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ର! ମୋତେ କ୍ଷମା କର; ଅଧିକ ବିଳମ୍ବ ନୁହେଁ, କାଳ ତୁମ ପାଖକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆସିପହଞ୍ଚିବ। ମୁଁ ସଦା ସତର୍କ ଥିଲି, ତଥାପି ଯଦି ଅଲସତା ନ ଜାଣୁଥିବା କାଳ ମୋତେ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିପାରିଲା, ତେବେ ସେ ଶୀଘ୍ର ତୁମକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବ। ଏହି କଟୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହିଥିବାରୁ ମୋତେ କ୍ଷମା କର।
