“सदा ही याचना करनेवालेको और दम्भीको दी हुई दक्षिणा दावानलमें दी गयी आहुतिके समान व्यर्थ है ।।

Transliteration

jātavedā yathā rājan nādagdhvaivopaśāmyati | sadaiva yācamāno hi tathā śāmyati na dvijaḥ ||

Translation

ହେ ରାଜନ! ଯେପରି ଅଗ୍ନି ଇନ୍ଧନକୁ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିବା ବିନା ଶାନ୍ତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ, ସେପରି ସଦା ଯାଚନା କରୁଥିବା ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ ଯାଚନାର ଅଭ୍ୟାସ ଛାଡ଼ିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅନ୍ତଃଶାନ୍ତି ପାଉନାହିଁ। ନିତ୍ୟ ଯାଚକ ଓ ଦମ୍ଭୀକୁ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିବା ଦକ୍ଷିଣା ଦାବାନଳରେ ପକାଯାଇଥିବା ଆହୁତି ପରି ବ୍ୟର୍ଥ ଓ ନିଷ୍ଫଳ।
