अध्याय १७८ — प्राणवायुगतिः तथा शारीराग्निव्यवस्था
Adhyāya 178 — The courses of prāṇa-vāyu and the regulation of the bodily fire
ईहमानो धनं मड्किर्भग्नेहश्व॒ पुन: पुन: । केनचिद् धनशेषेण क्रीतवान् दम्यगोयुगम्,मड्कि धनके लिये अनेक प्रकारकी चेष्टाएँ करते थे; परंतु हर बार उनका प्रयत्न व्यर्थ हो जाता था। अन्तमें जब बहुत थोड़ा धन शेष रह गया तो उसे देकर उन्होंने दो नये बछड़े खरीदे
īhamāno dhanaṃ maṅkir bhagnehaś ca punaḥ punaḥ | kenacid dhanaśeṣeṇa krītavān damyagoyugam ||
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ମଙ୍କି ଧନ ପାଇବାକୁ ନାନା ପ୍ରକାରେ ପୁନଃପୁନଃ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିଲା; କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରତିଥରେ ତାହାର ପ୍ରୟାସ ବ୍ୟର୍ଥ ହେଉଥିଲା। ଶେଷରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଅତି ଅଳ୍ପ ଧନ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିଗଲା, ସେଇ ଧନ ଦେଇ ସେ ଦୁଇଟି ନୂଆ ବଛଡ଼ାର ଏକ ଯୁଗଳ କିଣିଲା।
