Durgātitaraṇa—Conduct for Crossing Difficulties (दुर्गातितरणम्)
The verse teaches śaraṇāgati (taking refuge): sincere devotees who rely on Nārāyaṇa/Hari are enabled to overcome even severe dangers and hardships; the statement is presented as certain and not merely speculative.
In the Śānti Parva, Bhīṣma instructs Yudhiṣṭhira on dharma and the means to peace and welfare; here he emphasizes devotion to Nārāyaṇa as a reliable support that carries devotees through life’s crises.
