तप्तहेममयै: शुश्रे्बभूव भयवर्धिनी । अग्निजालैरिवाबद्धा पट्टा: शल्यस्य सा गदा,तपाये हुए उज्ज्वल सुवर्णमय पत्रोंसे जड़ी हुई शल्यकी वह भयंकर गदा आगकी ज्वालाओंसे लिपटी हुई-सी प्रतीत होती थी
taptahaemamayaiḥ śuśrebabhūva bhayavardhinī | agnijālair ivābaddhā paṭṭāḥ śalyasya sā gadā ||
ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ତପ୍ତ ଓ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପଟିଆରେ ଜଡିତ ଶଲ୍ୟଙ୍କ ସେଇ ଗଦା ଭୟ ବଢ଼ାଉଥିଲା। ମନେ ହେଉଥିଲା ଯେନ ଅଗ୍ନିଜାଳରେ ବାନ୍ଧା—ଏମିତି ଭୟଙ୍କର ଦିଶୁଥିଲା।
