Educational Q&A

Even amid humiliation and political injustice, the narrative highlights restraint and the possibility of temporary restoration through lawful means (a boon granted by the king). It underscores the ethical tension between power, remorse, and dharma: relief and return are achieved not by immediate retaliation but through recognized royal authority and negotiated redress.

After Dhṛtarāṣṭra grants a boon that enables relief from the immediate crisis, Yudhiṣṭhira and the Pāṇḍavas depart with Draupadī in thunder-sounding chariots and proceed toward their capital, Indraprastha, with hearts momentarily eased.
