श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
The verse presents decisive action against harmful forces as a legitimate dharmic obligation when undertaken for the protection and welfare of one’s kin and community, and emphasizes shared responsibility by acting together with a trusted ally.
Kṛṣṇa recounts past deeds: accompanied by Saṅkarṣaṇa (Balarāma), he fulfilled a duty owed to his relatives, culminating in the killing of Kaṃsa and another figure named Sunāman, presented as necessary acts to secure the clan’s well-being.
