दुःशासनस्य रुधिरे पीयमाने महात्मना | व्यापन्नचेतसश्रैव शोकोपहतचेतस:,“महामना भीमसेन जब दुःशासनका रक्त पी रहे थे, तभीसे ये कृपाचार्य आदि वीर तथा मरनेसे बचे हुए सब भाई कौरव विपन्न और शोकाकुलचित्त होकर दुर्योधनको सब ओरसे घेरकर उसके पास खड़े हैं ।। पाण्डवा लब्धलक्ष्याश्वन॒ धनंजयपुरोगमा: । त्वामेवाभिमुखा: शूरा युद्धाय समुपस्थिता: “अर्जुन आदि पाण्डववीर अपना लक्ष्य सिद्ध कर चुके हैं और अब युद्धके लिये तुम्हारे ही सामने उपस्थित हो रहे हैं

vyāpannacetasaś caiva śokopahatacetasaḥ ||

ମହାତ୍ମା ଭୀମସେନ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଦୁଃଶାସନର ରକ୍ତ ପାନ କରୁଥିଲେ, ସେଇ ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତରୁ କୃପାଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଆଦି ବୀର ଓ ସଂହାରରୁ ବଞ୍ଚିଥିବା କୌରବମାନେ—ଚିତ୍ତ ବିପର୍ଯ୍ୟସ୍ତ ଓ ଶୋକାହତ ହୋଇ—ଦୁର୍ଯ୍ୟୋଧନଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଦିଗରୁ ଘେରି ତାଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଦଣ୍ଡାୟମାନ। ଅନ୍ୟପଟେ ଧନଞ୍ଜୟ (ଅର୍ଜୁନ) ଅଗ୍ରଗାମୀ ପାଣ୍ଡବ-ଶୂରମାନେ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟସିଦ୍ଧି କରି, ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ପାଇଁ ସିଧାସଳଖ ତୁମ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how extreme acts of vengeance in war can shatter the enemy’s morale and intensify the conflict, raising ethical tension within kshatriya-dharma: victory pursued through wrath may achieve an immediate aim, yet it deepens grief and hardens both sides toward further violence.
After Bhima’s horrific fulfillment of his vow against Duhshasana, the remaining Kaurava warriors—grief-stricken and mentally shaken—cluster around Duryodhana. At the same time, the Pandavas, led by Arjuna, having accomplished their immediate objective, advance to confront Duryodhana and resume battle.
