Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 29 — Arjuna’s defeat of Vṛṣaka–Acalā and the neutralization of Śakuni’s māyā
अनेनास्त्रेण ते गुप्त: सुत: परबलार्दन: । भविष्यति दुराधर्ष: सर्वलोकेषु सर्वदा,“इस अस्त्रसे सुरक्षित रहकर तुम्हारा पुत्र शत्रुओंकी सेनाको पीड़ित करनेवाला और सदा सम्पूर्ण लोकोंमें दुर्धर्ष बना रहेगा”
anenāstreṇa te guptaḥ sutaḥ parabala-ardanaḥ | bhaviṣyati durādharṣaḥ sarvalokeṣu sarvadā ||
ଏହି ଅସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ହୋଇ ତୁମ ପୁତ୍ର ଶତ୍ରୁବଳକୁ ଦଳନ କରିବ, ଏବଂ ସଦା ସର୍ବଲୋକରେ ଦୁର୍ଧର୍ଷ ହୋଇ ରହିବ।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how astric power and protection can confer near-invincibility in war, raising an ethical tension: reliance on extraordinary weapons amplifies destruction and shifts the struggle from human valor to sanctioned force, testing the boundaries of righteous conduct in battle.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, through a particular astra’s protection, Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son will be secure and will harass and crush opposing armies, becoming exceedingly difficult to defeat everywhere and always.
