The verse highlights steadfastness and purposeful action amid overwhelming violence: even a seemingly impenetrable force can be crossed when resolve, skill, and righteous alignment (here, Kṛṣṇa with Arjuna) converge. The ‘end-time sun’ simile also warns that power in war carries a grave, world-shaking moral weight.
Sañjaya reports that Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna have broken free from the dense crush of weapons and escaped Droṇa’s hard-to-breach battle-array. Once out of that deadly press, they become visible again, appearing dazzling and fearsome—likened to the sun rising at the time of dissolution.
