Sāttvika-vṛtta-kathana (Brahmā on the Conduct of Sattva) — Chapter 38
प्रकीर्तिता: सत्त्वगुणा विशेषतो यथाददुक्तं गुणवृत्तमेव च । नरस्तु यो वेद गुणानिमान् सदा गुणान् स भुड्धक्ते न गुणैः स युज्यते
prakīrtitāḥ sattvaguṇā viśeṣato yathādaduktaṃ guṇavṛttam eva ca | naras tu yo veda guṇān imān sadā guṇān sa bhuṅkte na guṇaiḥ sa yujyate ||
ବାୟୁ କହିଲେ—ସତ୍ତ୍ୱଗୁଣମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଶେଷ ଭାବେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରାଯାଇଛି ଏବଂ ଗୁଣମାନଙ୍କର ବୃତ୍ତି ମଧ୍ୟ ଯଥାବତ୍ କୁହାଯାଇଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ନର ଏହି ଗୁଣମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଦା ଯଥାର୍ଥ ଭାବେ ଜାଣେ, ସେ ଗୁଣଫଳ ଭୋଗ କରେ, ତଥାପି ଗୁଣଦ୍ୱାରା ବନ୍ଧିତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ; ଗୁଣକୁ ଭୋଗ କରେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଗୁଣରେ ଯୁକ୍ତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ।
