ऊर्ध्वस्रोतस इत्येते देवा वैकारिका: स्मृता: । सत्त्वगुणसम्पन्न महात्मा स्वर्गवासी देवताओंकी भाँति ईशित्व

Transliteration

Ūrdhvasrotasa ity ete devā vaikārikāḥ smṛtāḥ | sattvaguṇasampannaḥ mahātmā svargavāsī devatāvat īśitva-vaśitva-laghimādi mānasikāḥ siddhīḥ prāpnoti | sa ūrdhvasrotaḥ vaikāriko deva iti manyate |

Translation

ବାୟୁ କହିଲେ— ଯେମାନଙ୍କୁ ‘ଊର୍ଧ୍ୱସ୍ରୋତସ’ କୁହାଯାଏ, ସେମାନେ ‘ବୈକାରିକ’ ଦେବତା ବୋଲି ସ୍ମୃତ। ସତ୍ତ୍ୱଗୁଣସମ୍ପନ୍ନ, ସ୍ୱର୍ଗବାସୀ ମହାତ୍ମା ଦେବତାମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଈଶିତ୍ୱ, ବଶିତ୍ୱ ଓ ଲଘିମା ଆଦି ମାନସିକ ସିଦ୍ଧି ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ କରେ। ଏପରି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ‘ଊର୍ଧ୍ୱସ୍ରୋତସ’ ଓ ‘ବୈକାରିକ ଦେବ’ ଭାବେ ଗଣ୍ୟ।
