जमदम्नेश्व संवाद सूर्यस्य च महात्मन: । पुरा स भगवान्‌ साक्षाद्धनुषाक्रीडयत्‌ प्रभो

Transliteration

jamadagneś ca saṃvādaḥ sūryasya ca mahātmanaḥ | purā sa bhagavān sākṣād dhanuṣā krīḍayat prabho, ānīya sā tadā tasmai prādād asakṛd acyuta |

Translation

ପ୍ରଭୋ! ଏହି ବିଷୟରେ ମହର୍ଷି ଜମଦଗ୍ନି ଓ ମହାତ୍ମା ଭଗବାନ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ସଂବାଦ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣିତ ହୁଏ। ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ପୂଜ୍ୟ ଜମଦଗ୍ନି ସ୍ୱୟଂ ଧନୁର୍ବିଦ୍ୟାର କ୍ରୀଡା କରୁଥିଲେ। ସେତେବେଳେ ତାଙ୍କ ପତ୍ନୀ ରେଣୁକା ପୁନଃପୁନଃ ସେଇ ବାଣଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଆଣି ତାଙ୍କୁ ପୁଣି ଦେଉଥିଲେ।
