गावस्तेजो महद् दिव्यं गवां दान॑ प्रशस्यते । ये चैता: सम्प्रयच्छन्ति साधवो वीतमत्सरा:
vyāsa uvāca | gāvas tejo mahad divyaṃ gavāṃ dānaṃ praśasyate | ye caitāḥ samprayacchanti sādhavo vītamatsarāḥ |
ବ୍ୟାସ କହିଲେ— ଗାଈମାନଙ୍କର ମହାନ୍ ଦିବ୍ୟ ତେଜ ଅଛି; ତେଣୁ ଗୋଦାନ ପ୍ରଶଂସିତ। ଯେ ସାଧୁଜନ ମତ୍ସର-ଦ୍ୱେଷ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଏହି ଗାଈମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ପୁଣ୍ୟବାନ୍ ବୋଲି ଗଣ୍ୟ।
