Saudāsa–Vasiṣṭha on the Purifying Power of Cows
गोप्रदानात् तारयते सप्त पूर्वास्तथा परान् | सुवर्ण दक्षिणां कृत्वा तावदद्विगुणमुच्यते
gopradānāt tārayate sapta pūrvās tathā parān | suvarṇa-dakṣiṇāṁ kṛtvā tāvad adviguṇam ucyate ||
ପିତାମହ କହିଲେ—ଗୋଦାନ କରିଲେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ନିଜର ସାତ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଙ୍କୁ ଏବଂ ସେହିପରି ପରେ ଆସୁଥିବା ସାତ ପିଢ଼ିକୁ ତାରଣ କରେ ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଏ। ଯଦି ସେହି ଦାନ ସହ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ-ଦକ୍ଷିଣା ଯୋଗ କରାଯାଏ, ତେବେ ତାହାର ପୁଣ୍ୟଫଳ ଦ୍ୱିଗୁଣ ହୁଏ ବୋଲି ଘୋଷିତ॥
