एता: पुरा हाददन्नित्यमेव शान्तात्मानो दानपथे निविष्टा: तपांस्युग्राण्यप्रतिशड्कमाना- स्ते वै दान॑ प्रददुश्चैव शक्‍त्या

Transliteration

etāḥ purā hādadann nityam eva śāntātmano dānapathe niviṣṭāḥ | tapāṁsy ugrāṇy apratiśaṅkamānās te vai dānaṁ pradaduś caiva śaktyā ||

Translation

ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ଶାନ୍ତଚିତ୍ତ ପୁରୁଷମାନେ ଦାନପଥରେ ନିଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇ ନିତ୍ୟ ଏହି ଗାଈମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ କରୁଥିଲେ। ତୀବ୍ର ତପସ୍ୟା କରୁଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାରେ କୌଣସି ସନ୍ଦେହ ନ ରଖି, ଯଥାଶକ୍ତି ଦାନ ଦେଇ ଯାଉଥିଲେ।
