दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च
Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food
अप्यल्पं प्रददुः सर्वे पृथिव्या इति नः श्रुतम् । भूमिमेव ददुः सर्वे भूमिं ते भुञज्जते जना:
apy alpaṁ pradaduḥ sarve pṛthivyā iti naḥ śrutam | bhūmim eva daduḥ sarve bhūmiṁ te bhuñjate janāḥ ||
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ଆମେ ଶୁଣିଛୁ ଯେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପୃଥିବୀର ଅତି ଅଳ୍ପ ଅଂଶ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦାନ କରିଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭୂମିଦାନର ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଫଳ ପାଆନ୍ତି। ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ଯେ ଭୂମି ଦାନ କରେ, ସେ ଯେନେ ସମଗ୍ର ପୃଥିବୀ ଦାନ କଲା; ଏବଂ ଲୋକେ ପରଲୋକରେ ସେଇ ଭୂମିକୁ ଭୋଗ କରନ୍ତି।
