अन्नदान-प्रशंसा (Praise of the Gift of Food) | Annadāna-Praśaṃsā

यद्‌ यदिष्टतमं लोके यच्चास्य दयितं गृहे । तत्‌ तद्‌ गुणवते देयं तदेवाक्षयमिच्छता

yad yadiṣṭatamaṃ loke yaccāsya dayitaṃ gṛhe | tat tad guṇavate deyaṃ tadevākṣayam icchatā ||

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ଲୋକରେ ଯାହା ଯାହା ସର୍ବାଧିକ ପ୍ରିୟ, ଏବଂ ନିଜ ଘରେ ଯାହା ଯାହା ହୃଦୟପ୍ରିୟ, ସେହି ସେହି ବସ୍ତୁ ଗୁଣବାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେବା ଉଚିତ। ଯେ ନିଜ ଦାନର ଫଳକୁ ଅକ୍ଷୟ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହେ, ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଏହିପରି ଦାନ ହିଁ ଉଚିତ।
