यस्य वै शैशिरे काले तडागे सलिलं भवेत्‌ । तस्याग्निष्टोमयज्ञस्यथ फलमाहुर्मनीषिण:

Transliteration

yasya vai śaiśire kāle taḍāge salilaṁ bhavet | tasyāgniṣṭomayajñasya tathā phalam āhur manīṣiṇaḥ ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ଯାହାର ତଡାଗରେ ଶିଶିରକାଳ (ମାଘ-ଫାଲ୍ଗୁନ) ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଜଳ ରହେ, ମନୀଷୀମାନେ କହନ୍ତି ଯେ ସେ ଅଗ୍ନିଷ୍ଟୋମ ଯଜ୍ଞର ସମାନ ଫଳ ପାଏ।
