अस्वामिकस्य स्वामित्वं यस्मिन् सम्प्रति लक्ष्यते । यो वर्ण: पोषयेत् तं च तद्धर्णस्तस्य जायते
asvāmakasya svāmitvaṃ yasmin samprati lakṣyate | yo varṇaḥ poṣayet taṃ ca tadvarṇas tasya jāyate ||
ଯାହାର କୌଣସି ସ୍ୱାମୀ/ଅଭିଭାବକ ନାହିଁ, ସେ ଅନାଥର ପ୍ରତି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଯେ ଲୋକଟି ସ୍ୱାମୀ ଭାବେ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ଏବଂ ଯେ ତାହାକୁ ପାଳନ-ପୋଷଣ କରେ—ସେ ଯେ ଵର୍ଣ୍ଣର, ସେଇ ଵର୍ଣ୍ଣ ତାହାର ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଉଦ୍ଭବ ହୁଏ ବୋଲି ଧରାଯାଏ।
