एतत्‌ श्र॒ुत्वा तु विपुलो विषण्णवदनो5भवत्‌ | एवं तीव्रतपाश्चाहं कष्टश्षायं परिश्रम:

Transliteration

etat śrutvā tu vipulo viṣaṇṇavadano 'bhavat | evaṁ tīvratapaś cāhaṁ kaṣṭaśṣāyaṁ pariśramaḥ |

Translation

ଏହା ଶୁଣି ବିପୁଳଙ୍କ ମୁହଁ ଶୋକରେ ମଲିନ ହେଲା। ସେ ଭାବିଲେ—“ମୁଁ ଏତେ ତୀବ୍ର ତପସ୍ୟା କରୁଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯଦି ମୋର ଦୁର୍ଗତି ହେବ, ତେବେ ଏହି ଘୋର ତପଶ୍ରମ ତ କେବଳ କଷ୍ଟ ହେଲା।”
