Viśvāmitra-janma: Ṛcīka–Satyavatī–Gādhi and the Charu Exchange
tatheti varuṇo deva ādityo bhṛgusattamam | uvāca yatra te chandas tatrotthāsyanti vājinaḥ ||
A dharmically grounded intention, especially when held by a worthy sage, is treated as efficacious; the gods affirm and enable such resolve. The verse highlights divine cooperation with righteous purpose and the moral weight of a truthful, disciplined will.
Bhīṣma reports Varuṇa’s response to the Bhṛgu-sage Ṛcīka: Varuṇa grants a boon that horses will manifest wherever Ṛcīka directs his wish, indicating immediate divine sanction and miraculous provision.
