पृथक् चैव तथा सुप्तौ सा स्त्री स च मुनिस्तदा । तथार्धात्रे सा स्त्री तु शयनं तदुपागमत्,उस समय वह स्त्री और मुनि दोनों अलग-अलग सो गये। जब आधी रात हुई तब वह स्त्री उठकर मुनिकी शय्यापर आ बैठी
pṛthak caiva tathā suptau sā strī sa ca munis tadā | tathārdharātre sā strī tu śayanaṃ tad upāgamat ||
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ସେତେବେଳେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ମୁନି ଦୁହେଁ ଅଲଗା ଅଲଗା ଶୟ୍ୟାରେ ଶୋଇଲେ। ଅର୍ଧରାତ୍ରି ହେଲାବେଳେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଉଠି ମୁନିଙ୍କ ଶୟ୍ୟା ପାଖକୁ ଯାଇ ସେହି ଶୟ୍ୟାରେ ବସିଲା।
