वायुदेव उवाच
Devotion is presented as most fruitful when joined with śubha-buddhi (wholesome discernment): Taṇḍi recognizes Śiva as sadasatpati, the Lord who transcends and governs all categories of existence and non-existence, and therefore offers reverent praise.
Vāyudeva narrates to Kṛṣṇa that the Indra-like, clear-minded sage Taṇḍi offers a hymn of praise to Lord Śiva, described by epithets such as Kṛttivāsāḥ (wearer of the hide) and Sadasatpatiḥ (lord of being and non-being).
