आटद्य: प्रकीर्तितो राजन्‌ सर्वपापप्रमोचन: । राजन! यह आदियमें होनेवाले देवता और ऋषियोंका मुख्य समुदाय अपने नामका कीर्तन करनेपर मनुष्यको सब पापोंसे मुक्त करता है

Transliteration

āṭadyaḥ prakīrtito rājan sarvapāpapramocanaḥ |

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ହେ ରାଜନ, ଆଟଦ୍ୟ ସର୍ବପାପପ୍ରମୋଚକ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରକୀର୍ତିତ। ଆଦିୟୁଗରେ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ଦେବତା ଓ ଋଷିମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଧାନ ସମୁଦାୟ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହି କଥା କହେ—ତାଙ୍କର ନାମକୀର୍ତ୍ତନ କଲେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ପାପରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହୁଏ।
