वायुदेव उवाच
The verse praises an ideal religious exemplar: one who is disciplined (brahmacārī), universally respected (āśramapūjitaḥ), widely experienced (loka/sarvacārī), and guided by thoughtful discernment (vicāravit). Ethical authority is grounded in self-restraint, learning, and reflective judgment rather than mere status.
Vāyu is describing a revered figure by listing honorific epithets—linking him to sacred speech and Vedic tradition (Vācaspati, Vājasana), noting his continual veneration in hermitages, and emphasizing his roaming, all-access presence and capacity for wise deliberation.
