प्रदाता सर्वलोकानां विश्व चाप्युच्यते महत्‌ । ज्येष्ठभूतं वदन्त्येनं ब्राह्यणा ऋषयो5परे

Transliteration

pradātā sarvalokānāṁ viśva cāpy ucyate mahat | jyeṣṭhabhūtaṁ vadanty enaṁ brāhmaṇā ṛṣayo 'pare ||

Translation

ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ଦାତା—ପ୍ରାଣୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛିତ ବସ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରନ୍ତି। ଏହି ମହାନ ବିଶ୍ୱ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାଙ୍କର ହିଁ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଏ। ତେଣୁ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଋଷିମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ—ଆଦି ଓ ଅଗ୍ର—ବୋଲି ଘୋଷଣା କରନ୍ତି।
