अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
दशनामसहस््राणि देवेष्वाह पितामह: । शर्वस्य शास्त्रेषु तथा दशनामशतानि च,पितामह ब्रह्माने पूर्वकालमें देवताओंके निकट महादेवजीके दस हजार नाम बताये थे और शास््त्रोंमें भी उनके सहस्र नाम वर्णित हैं
daśanāmasahasrāṇi deveṣv āha pitāmahaḥ | śarvasya śāstreṣu tathā daśanāmaśatāni ca ||
ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ପିତାମହ ବ୍ରହ୍ମା ଦେବମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଶର୍ବ (ମହାଦେବ)ଙ୍କ ଦଶହଜାର ନାମ ଘୋଷଣା କରିଥିଲେ; ଏବଂ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାଙ୍କର ଶତଶଃ ନାମ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣିତ ଅଛି।
