कथितं त्वनयासत्यं गायत्रया कन्यया दिवि । विजेष्याम्यवशानू्‌ सर्व ब्राद्मणांश्वर्मवासस:

Transliteration

kathitaṃ tv anayā satyaṃ gāyatrayā kanyayā divi | vijeṣyāmy avaśān sarvān brāhmaṇān carmavāsasaḥ |

Translation

ଅର୍ଜୁନ କହିଲେ—ଆକାଶରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ ଗାୟତ୍ରୀ ନାମକ କନ୍ୟା ଯେ କହିଛି ଯେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣମାନେ କ୍ଷତ୍ରିୟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ, ସେ କଥା ସତ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ। ମୃଗଚର୍ମ ଧାରଣ କରୁଥିବା ସେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣମାନେ ଅଧିକାଂଶେ ପରାଧୀନ ଓ ବିବଶ; ମୁଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଜିତିବି। ତିନି ଲୋକରେ କୌଣସି ଦେବ କିମ୍ବା ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମୋତେ ମୋର ରାଜ୍ୟାଧିକାରରୁ ଚ୍ୟୁତ କରିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ; ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣଠାରୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ।
