आवर्तनो निवृत्तात्मा संवृत: सम्प्रमर्दन: । अहःसंवर्तको वल्लिरनिलो धरणीधर:

Transliteration

āvartano nivṛttātmā saṁvṛtaḥ sampramardanaḥ | ahaḥsaṁvartako vahnir anilo dharaṇīdharaḥ ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ସେ ଆବର୍ତ୍ତନ, ସଂସାରଚକ୍ରକୁ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତିତ କରୁଥିବା; ତଥାପି ନିବୃତ୍ତାତ୍ମା, ନିଜେ ବନ୍ଧନରୁ ନିତ୍ୟମୁକ୍ତ। ସେ ସଂବୃତ, ନିଜ ଯୋଗମାୟାରେ ଆବୃତ; ଏବଂ ସମ୍ପ୍ରମର୍ଦ୍ଦନ, ରୁଦ୍ରାଦି ଉଗ୍ରରୂପରେ ସବୁକୁ ଦମନ କରୁଥିବା। ସେ ଅହଃସଂବର୍ତ୍ତକ, ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟରୂପେ ଦିନକୁ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତାଉଥିବା; ବହ୍ନି, ହବି ବହନକାରୀ; ଅନିଲ, ପ୍ରାଣରୂପ ବାୟୁ; ଏବଂ ଧରଣୀଧର, ବରାହ ଓ ଶେଷରୂପେ ପୃଥିବୀକୁ ଧାରଣ କରୁଥିବା।
