९०६ अरौद्र:-सब प्रकारके रुद्र (क्रूर) भावोंसे रहित शान्तिमूर्ति

araudraḥ, kuṇḍalī, cakrī, vikramī, ūrjitaśāsanaḥ, śabdātigaḥ, śabdasahaḥ, śiśiraḥ, śarvarīkaraḥ

ଭୀଷ୍ମ ଉପାଧିମାଳାରେ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କଲେ—ସେ ଅରୌଦ୍ର, ରୁଦ୍ରସଦୃଶ କ୍ରୂରତାରହିତ ଶାନ୍ତିମୂର୍ତ୍ତି; ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟସମ ଦୀପ୍ତ ମକରାକୃତି କୁଣ୍ଡଳଧାରୀ; ସୁଦର୍ଶନ ଚକ୍ରଧାରୀ; ଅତୁଲ ପରାକ୍ରମଶାଳୀ; ଶ୍ରୁତି-ସ୍ମୃତି ଆଧାରିତ ପରମାଧିକାର ଶାସକ। ସେ ଶବ୍ଦର ପହଞ୍ଚ ପାରେ, ବାଣୀର ବିଷୟ ନୁହେଁ; ତଥାପି ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କହାଯାଇଥିବା କଠୋର ଶବ୍ଦ ସହନ କରନ୍ତି। ତ୍ରିତାପଦଗ୍ଧଙ୍କୁ ଶୀତଳ ଶାନ୍ତି ଦେଇଥାନ୍ତି; ଏବଂ ‘ରାତ୍ରି’ର କର୍ତ୍ତା—ଜ୍ଞାନୀଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସଂସାର ଅନ୍ଧକାରସମ, ଅଜ୍ଞାନୀଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସତ୍ୟଜ୍ଞାନ ରାତ୍ରିସମ ରହେ।
