evam astv iti tad-vākyaṁ mayoktaḥ prāha śaṅkaraḥ | tato māṁ jagato mātā dhāriṇī sarva-pāvanī …

Translation

ମୁଁ ଏପରି କହିବା ପରେ ଶଙ୍କର କହିଲେ—“ଏବମସ୍ତୁ, ଏମିତି ହେଉ।” ତାପରେ ଜଗତମାତା, ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଧାରଣ-ପୋଷଣ କରୁଥିବା, ସର୍ବପାବନୀ ଶର୍ବାଣୀ (ଉମାଦେବୀ) ଏକାଗ୍ରଚିତ୍ତ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ—“ନିଷ୍ପାପ! ଭଗବାନ୍ ତୁମକୁ ‘ସାମ୍ବ’ ନାମକ ପୁତ୍ର ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି।”
