धर्मनिन्दा–धर्मोपासनाफलम् तथा साध्वाचारलक्षणम्

संहिताध्यायिना भाव्य॑ गृहे वै गृहमेधिना । नित्यं स्वाध्यायिना भाव्यं न चाध्ययनजीविना

Transliteration

saṃhitādhyāyinā bhāvyaṃ gṛhe vai gṛhamedhinā | nityaṃ svādhyāyinā bhāvyaṃ na ca adhyayanajīvinā ||

Translation

ମହେଶ୍ୱର କହିଲେ—ଗୃହରେ ବସୁଥିବା ଗୃହସ୍ଥ ଲୋକ ସଂହିତାଧ୍ୟୟନରେ ନିଷ୍ଠାବାନ ଓ ନିୟମିତ ସ୍ୱାଧ୍ୟାୟୀ ହେବା ଉଚିତ। ସେ ନିତ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱାଧ୍ୟାୟରେ ଲୀନ ରହୁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନକୁ ଜୀବିକାର ସାଧନ କରିବା ଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ।
